BRANDING

Branding project for renovation of the visual identity of the Fair and Contest  ARTE DOCE.

Concept

Based on the visual concept of the molecule of sucrose (sugar), we develop an infinity of dots (circles) and lines (threads). With a harmonious combination of these elements we accomplish something unique and exclusive. The typography of ARTE DOCE. This typography that represents the basis of the visual identity of ARTE DOCE includes elements that refer to a universe of connections (people, arts, recipe ingredients…) and proximity (the earth, crafts, tradition, cultural heritage…).

The basis of the construction is "crafty" in itself and its elements use obvious references to the icons of the traditional confectionary of Lagos: the lines (threads) are a metaphorical allusion to the Dom Rodrigo cakes (made from egg yolk threads) and the dots (circles) refer to the round shape of cakes such as the morgados de figo and other elaborately designed confectionary.
